About

Oworo united is a grassroot football club which metamorphosed from Oboli FC and is situated in Owororonshoki the heart of Lagos. Currently the affairs of the football club is being handled by Aliu Hamzat and Abdullahi Ahmed who serve in deferring capacity as the Sporting director and Technical director respectively. Both are former players of the football team before retirement and now continue the development and growth of Oworo United. The club's sole aim is talent discovery and development which reflects in its relationship with major partner "BASON Sport management" who pride themselves as a top talent management company Oworo United adopts a pragmatic hybrid attacking style, blending the patience of possession play with the explosive speed of counter-attacks. Along with the club's rich history, Oworo United has produced many talented players who have gone on to represent Nigeria at various levels, some of which are; - *Kabiru Akinsola* – Nigeria U17 (2007) , U20 (2019) - *Egbedi Dafe*– Nigeria U17 (2009) - *Wisdom Ubani* – Nigeria U17 (2019) The club can also boast of a number of players who are currently plying their trade in top foreign leagues, including: - *Omosuyi Ifedayo* – Malaysia Super League (to date) - *Aremu Timothy* – Malaysia Super League (to date) Among others... and a whole lot of many others who have previously and currently representing different sides in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
